Al-Fakharani resumes work in a new Egyptian series

??CAIRO – The cast of “Khawaja Abdul Kader,” a new series on Egypt’s countryside life that will air next Ramadan, moved to the desert side of Dahshoor in Giza to resume filming. The crew will then transfer to Sohag in the countryside.
The series stars veteran Egyptian actor Yahya Al-Fakharani, who said that it carries an important message to the world: Egypt is a country of peace and people from different backgrounds and religions coexist in peace and harmony.
Set in the 1940s, the show is about an Englishman who moves to Egypt after losing his fortune during World War II. He falls in love with an Egyptian woman, converts to Islam and changes his name to Khawaja Abdul Kader. — SG
