LONDON — Britain’s Prince Harry jokingly entered his brother William and sister-in-law Catherine for the 2013 London Marathon as he prepared to hand out the prizes at this year’s race.
“I have been trying to get myself a place for years,” Harry, the younger brother of William, the second in line to the throne, told the BBC. “I can’t get myself a place. What do you have to do? “What’s fantastic is that my brother and his wife will be doing it next year, I think. He’s going to have to now, isn’t he?,” added Harry.
However, a spokesman for William and Catherine’s official residence Clarence House, responded to Harry’s comments by saying: “It was said in jest.” – AFP
