Qamar to quit singing if she makes it in cinema

BEIRUT — Lebanese singer Qamar told an Arabic daily that she will stop singing if she makes it in the cinema industry. Qamar has just finished shooting her scenes for the movie “It’s Ok,” starring Saad Al-Sagheer and Muhammad Ramadan. She plays a dancer who spends a great deal of her life in Lebanon until she decides to go back to Egypt to take care of her little sister. She and Al-Sagheer will sing two songs in the movie. Qamar is also shooting a video clip which will appear in the movie to promote her debut as an actress. Qamar was chosen by the producer Ahamd Al-Sabki to play the role after seeing several video clips of the Lebanese singer. He was convinced that she was perfect for the role. — SG
