ARAR – A 27-year-old man in Arar cut off his own penis with a box cutter last week, Al-Hayat Arabic daily reported, Friday. Doctors at Arar Central Hospital, where the patient was admitted Wednesday, failed to reattach the organ because he took too long to get to the hospital. Col. Bandar Al-Ida, Northern Frontier Police spokesman, said initial investigations showed that it was the young man himself who cut off his penis. Investigations are underway, he added. -SG
