Jeddah police seize 9,000 Captagon pills

JEDDAH – Jeddah police have seized 9,000 Captagon pills in one of the largest drug busts in the city. A police patrol on a routine daily inspection in a local district stopped a suspicious young man driving a car. He did not have any ID on him. Police frisked him and searched the car, finding a large quantity of Captagon pills, Al-Riyadh Arabic daily reported, Friday.
The suspect is a young Yemeni man, said Brig. Mesfer Al-Juaid, Jeddah Police spokesman. He was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution. “We won’t allow anyone to destroy the souls of our youth who are the future of this country. We’re making every effort to prevent crimes.” -SG
