JEDDAH — Laila Elwi has confirmed her participation in the “French Campaign in Egypt” television series which will be run during Ramadan, reported Al-Bilad Arabic daily. At a press conference held at the Marriott Hotel in Cairo, Elwi said she liked the script which deals with a very important historical era in Egypt.
The famous Egyptian actress will play the character of “Nafisa Al-Bayda”, who lived during that time. “I didn’t know anything about this character. I did some research and discovered that she was a good person and played an important role in the past.” — SG
