Khamis MushaYt – The alarm system of the 14th Girls’ High School and the 20th Middle School went off all of a sudden sending three hundred students home in Khamis Mushayt. Ahmad Al-Farhan, spokesman of Asir Education Administration, said one of the students messed with the alarm system and set it off. Meanwhile, administration of a girls’ school in Al-Daghareer evacuated Sunday five hundred students and twenty five teachers as a precautionary measure following smell of smoke. The administration called the maintenance team who discovered a short circuit in the electric meter. Muhammad Al-Rayani, director of educational information, Jizan Education Administration, said the maintenance team fixed the problem, inspected all wiring system in the school and replaced old wires with new ones. – SG
