Shah’d Muhammad: ‘Someone set fire to my house’

RIYADH – The actress Shah’d Muhammad has claimed that someone set fire to her house in east Riyadh last Tuesday. The actress lodged a complaint at Al-Rawdah District Police station and provided the police with an audio recording of a man who threatened on the phone he would set fire to her house. “I know this person. He threatened me before. This man took money as a loan from a relative of mine and refused to pay it back. I tried to convince him to pay her the money.”
Shah’d said she will file a complaint at the Riyadh Civil Defense for an investigation into the cause of the fire which started Tuesday morning around 5.00 A.M. “Thanks to Allah my daughter and I were not at home. The fire started in my bedroom which is very close to my daughter’s bedroom.” Sha’d is preparing to participate in a new television series “Women of Glass” due to start filming in the next few days. — SG
