Makkah — The Makah Technical Council represented by the Scout Activity Section, participated last Wednesday in a marine safety awareness program at Red Sea Mall, in Jeddah. The border guards, Makah province, Jeddah Divers Association, Alkhorayef Company and Aramco Saudi company participated in the event which will last 10 days.
Dr. Rashid Bin Mohammed Al Zahrani, Chairman Makah Technical and Vocational Training Council, said the event includes awareness programs relating to maritime safety and the risks resulting from the non-compliance with the rules and regulations.
Al Zahrani stressed that participation in the programs such as this, is a national duty and falls within the programs of social responsibility and social awareness in addition to the development of the Council under the auspices of Makah Governorate.
Walid Bin Khalid, Supervisor of the scouts activity of the Council, said the event aims to achieve the goals set by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation for the service of the community, stressing that the program is being followed properly because it targets various segments of the society including those with special needs.
