JEDDAH – The participation of King Abdul Aziz University’s Faculty of Medicine in medical congresses was recognized by the Saudi Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (SOGS), Monday night. Prof. Osama Tayeb, the President of the University, along with Prof. Mahmoud Al-Ahwal accepted an award as a token of the SOGS’s appreciation. “I wish all the faculties of the university participated in academic congresses as much as the Faculty of Medicine does,” said Tayeb.
The faculty’s constant search for development comes from its sense of responsibility in keeping up with everything new in its field to be able to provide its students with the most up-to-date information and technology in the world, he said.
Dr. Hisham Arab, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the SOGS Congress, said that the faculty is most deserving of such an award because of its constant participation in medical forums. “The Faculty of Medicine has always participated in the SOGS Congress giving us unlimited support,” he said.
Prof. Mahmoud Al-Ahwal thanked the SOGS, assuring the organization that the faculty considers it to be its responsibility to participate in all academic forums. “It is very important to us to keep ourselves updated, and this kind of knowledge puts us on the map as one of the best medical facilities in the Kingdom,” he said.
