ABHA – Prince Faisal Bin Khaled Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Asir region, has donated SR1.2 million to orphans in the region.
He made the announcement during a festival Tuesday to mark Arab Orphan Day at the Asir Social Care House for Boys in Abha.
Prince Faisal donated SR200,000 to the Education and Social Nursery House and SR1 million to the Society Caring for Orphans in Asir.
Meanwhile Prince Faisal met at his office with Dr. Ahmad Al-Saif, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and members of the high committee investigating the incidents at King Khaled University.
He looked at the committee’s report recommending solutions to the situation. He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education to contain the incident.
Al-Saif said the committee visited the university’s branch in Bisha and were briefed on the progress at the girls’ college. – SG/SPA
