SEHAI: A model for citizens in Gulf to acquire technical skills

Japanese Ambassador in Bahrain Shigeki Sumi poses with SEHAI students for a group photo.
JEDDAH – Japanese Ambassador in Bahrain Shigeki Sumi paid a visit to SEHAI Diraiya Campus Monday to observe and get information about the unique scheme of SEHAI’s technical training program in Saudi Arabia.
Fahad Al-Harbi, SEHAI director; Musaed Al-Otaibi, administrative manager; and 3 Japanese experts welcomed the ambassador and his accompanying delegation Yuki Ishii, second secretary and Kazuki Ono in the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia.
Showing his interest in the concept, Sumi said SEHAI’s labor-market oriented program which is similar to "apprenticeship", is the model technical institute for Bahrain. He was also impressed to see the students’ drive to study their subjects.
In the past, SEHAI received Japanese ambassadors from Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain as well as Saudi Arabia. – SG
