Fire drill to rescue chemical shipsuccessful

DAMMAM – The third International Symposium of Maritime Disasters ended with a night military drill, the first to be conducted in the Kingdom.
The scenario for the drill was that of a ship, loaded with petrochemicals, catching fire after leaving Jubail Industrial Port. On board, were “injured” and “dead” passengers.
Saudi Royal Maritime Forces, Civil Defense, Border Guard and Seaports Guard participated in the drill and the fire was extinguished using special equipment. The drill lasted for an hour and a half.— Okaz/SG
