RIYADH – The High Commission for the Development of Riyadh will soon ensure that seven government bodies concerned with traffic safety are linked electronically to one system in the capital city.
The system will allow the immediate exchange of accident-related information among the Mayor’s Office, Ministry of Transport, Traffic Administration, Red Crescent, Civil Defense and the Road Security Department in Riyadh.
The system connects the operations rooms of all these agencies. This will ensure a faster exchange of information and the dispatching of teams to accidents. The system will also be used to study the factors involved in accidents.
The system will allow an integrated, renewable database to be built to gather information on the types of accidents.
