Contest to celebrate Crown Prince’s return

JEDDAH – Ministry of Education has started a new contest in schools around the country to celebrate the return to the Kingdom of Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.
The contest, under the theme “Love and fulfillment,” is being held as per the directives of Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, Minister of Education, and is open to all students as well as teachers. “Ministry of Education has drawn a general framework for the competition. The winners will get cash prizes worth SR507,000,” Dr. Fahd Bin Abdullah Tayyash, supervisor general of educational media, said.
According to ministry officials, SR196,000 has been allocate for prizes for the students’ competition and SR176,000 in prizes for the teachers’ competition.
Moreover, SR135,000 will be given to schools which have the most competitors.
“The aim of the competition is to highlight the Ministry of Education’s participation in national events, the promotion of patriotism among students and their involvement in national events by spreading the spirit of fair competition and honoring distinguished students,” said Tayyash. – SG
