Yemen denied Thursday that the Saudi Air Force had launched strikes on villages in the Yemeni region of Saada, with a military official describing the claims on an official army website as “rumors started by terrorists” designed to “drag our brothers in the Kingdom into the encounters that they themselves ignited”.
“The terrorists,” the official said Friday, were “trying to distract attention away from their collapse resulting from the Yemeni Armed Forces’ repeated strikes against them.”
The Saudi Press Agency said Friday that the Saudi Air Force strikes were confined to within the Kingdom’s borders and that military action would continue until the area was secure.
