Probe blames Belo negligence in botched cosmetics surgery

MANILA – Investigation into the botched butt augmentation of a businesswoman appears to lead to the negligence of the clinic owned by controversial celebrity surgeon Dr. Vicki Belo.The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Tuesday said evidence showed that the staff and employees of Belo Medical Group, including Belo herself, could have been negligent in handling the operation on Josefina Norcio, 40’.The NBI said Norcio claimed she had decided to undergo the implant after Belo assured her that it was safe. She has filed a complaint that her buttocks got infected and that she nearly died after the operations. - PNS
