Saudi ambassador takes office in Syria

DAMASCUS – Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Syria has arrived in Damascus, a Saudi diplomat said. Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Eifan flew in Tuesday, said the diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity to the Associated Press.Al-Eifan was appointed as new ambassador to Syria in July after the post fell vacant when the Saudi ambassador to Syria was transferred to Qatar. Al-Eifan has held the post of ambassador to South Korea for three years. – AP
