Father cleared of child abuse charge

JEDDAH – The Health Affairs here has dismissed child abuse charges against a father. The girl’s mother brought the charges against her husband alleging that he was the source of the girl’s addiction to heroin. Dr. Sami Badawood, Health Affairs Director, said the medical examinations and analysis showed “the girl was in good health and does not suffer any health problems including addiction.” He added that the mother has been found to be suffering from psychological problems and is being treated in coordination with the Social Protection Committee. – Okaz/SG
