JEDDAH – The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has continued to extend in-kind assistance including food materials and medical supplies to the affected people of the Gaza Strip. IIRO’s Secretary General Dr. Adnan Basha said the organization has extended 180 tons of in-kind assistance aboard 11 trucks within the framework of the relief caravan operated by the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). He noted that medical supplies were sent to Gaza for meeting the requirements of hospitals in addition to quantities of sugar, cooking oil, rice and other foodstuff. Dr. Al-Basha pointed out that the IIRO, realizing its responsibility towards the affected people in Gaza, will send more assistance. – SPA
