Thief’s deportation ruse foiled

JEDDAH – A man of Sudanese nationality who stole SR450,000 from his sponsor was caught on Tuesday attempting to leave the country under a false identity. The man handed himself in to the Deportation Administration in Madina claiming to have lost the Umrah visa by which he said he had entered the country, but coordination with police in the city revealed the individual’s true identity. – Okaz/SG
