AL-BAHA – The Commission for Investigation and General Prosecution here has recommended the detention of a member of the municipality council for physically assaulting a citizen. First Lieutenant Abdul Naser Muhammed Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Police Spokesman said the council’s member was arrested and sent to General Prison last Wednesday. The case was referred to Sheikh Waheed Al-Abdul Gadier, Chief of the District Court, the same day indicating that the member had beaten the plaintiff with a stone on his forehead causing a slight fracture in his skull. The plaintiff was hospitalized for three weeks. The victim asked the court to physically punish the defendant for injuring him. – Okaz/SG
