48,000 summer jobs offered to students

JEDDAH/RIYADH - It is all about spending time in useful manner. As summer vacations near, the labor offices have a perfect schedule in offer for students. Instead of spending their mornings on bed and evenings in malls, students have the option of summer jobs this vacation. The summer employment and training program organized by labor offices have over 48,000 summer jobs to offer in Jeddah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
Hundreds of companies are participating in this program. The Jeddah Labor Office received 3,950 applications from university students as against the announced 14,000 summer jobs. Sa’eed Aal Fahad, Director of Employment, Jeddah Labor Office, told Okaz that 3,500 jobs, in addition to 450 openings in medical facilities, were offered to university students on Saturday.
In Riyadh, the labor office and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) have announced nearly 30,000 summer jobs, 25,000 of which are for secondary school and diploma students. In the Eastern Province, Mohammmed Al-Hamdan, Director of the Labor Office, said he expects different companies will offer jobs to at least 4,000 students.
The heat is up and the youth are charged. The labor offices are receiving thousands of CVs and referring them to the participating companies.
