JEDDAH – When Egyptian journalist Huwaida Hafidh, who was undergoing treatment for breast cancer, returned from last year’s Haj doctors discovered that all the cancer cells had disappeared.
Hafidh had undergone surgery and was in the middle of a course of chemotherapy when she was surprised by the arrival of her Haj pilgrimage visa, prompting her to suspend treatment and embark on the journey from Egypt to Makkah.
Speaking in Okaz’s current edition of Roaa Magazine, Hafidh attributed her recovery to Zamzam water.
“I made sure I drank Zamzam water throughout the days of the Haj,” Hafidh said. “After I finished the rituals and went back to Egypt I had a checkup at the hospital where I’d been having chemotherapy, and the doctors told me the cancer had completely gone.” – Okaz/SG
