NATION SR1.9b Medical City project in Abha
RIYADH – The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, signed Tuesday a SR 1.9 billion contract for the Medical City Project at King Khalid University in Abha
In a statement following the signing ceremony, Dr. Al-Anqari pointed out that the project includes the university hospital with 400 beds; faculties of medicine, medical science, pharmacy and dentistry; classrooms and laboratories.
He noted that this project is an extension of previous contracts signed by the Ministry, adding that the first stage of the University City Project at King Khalid University is currently being executed at a cost of more than SR2.2 billion. In addition the first stage of a SR6.5 billion project to provide housing to faculty members in all Saudi universities is also underway.
Dr. Al-Anqari expressed his gratitude and appreciation to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for supporting higher education. – SPA
