Painful separation of families during war with infiltrators
By Naif Masrahi
JIZAN – Soldiers and their families involved in the fighting with the infiltrators have to endure the pain of separation but many are determined that the fighting should continue until the enemy is defeated.

Yousef Safhi, told Saudi Gazette that he misses his “dearest son” Yasser who is stationed in Al-Khubah, because he has not seen him since the start of the confrontation 15 days ago.

“He came home one night and collected his uniform and clothes. He said that he had received an urgent order from his leader to fight the infiltrators because he is a good sniper,” Safhi said.

Layla Yousef, the mother of a soldier, started crying when she spoke about her son Mohammed. “I have been divorced for more than 20 years and I only have one son. He is a soldier in the Saudi Navy and is participating in the fighting with those savage rebels. May Allah protect him and return him safely” she said.

Talal Ahmed, a Saudi soldier, said he missed his youngest brother Wael.

“When I left home he was really sad because I am the closest brother to him. He called me last night, asking me to fight with all my life to protect the country which he loves,” he added.

Talal’s mother, Ayesha Yehea, fears the fighting will be take place for an extended period. However, she is proud of her son.

“I still remember his funny character. He would always ask whether I needed anything. At Eid Al-Fitr, he brought me a golden wrist band and earrings as a gift. I really miss him, but at the same time I am really proud of him,” she said.

Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minster of Defense and Aviation, has praised the resolve of soldiers fighting in the war.

During his visit to injured soldiers on Nov. 7 at King Fahd Hospital in Jizan, he said that the Saudi government was really proud of them because they have promised to lay down their lives for their country. – SG

I will continue to pray for the soldiers, and send angels to fight along side them. They will serve in love. Very few will lay down their lives. All my best
