NATION Couple held over 2-yr-old’s death

TAIF – The mother of a dead two-year-old boy and the “son of her friend” are being investigated by police after they took the child’s body to hospital where medics noted that it showed signs of having been severely beaten and bitten and with broken ribs.
Hospital staff said the child was brought to the hospital having passed away shortly before, and that the man who arrived with the child’s mother – said by the mother to be the “son of a friend” – also claimed to be the child’s father. – Okaz/SG
