Fleeing qat dealer dies in collision

AHAD AL-MASARAHA – A smuggler attempting to bring into the Kingdom 297 bundles of the illegal plant qat died Saturday after fleeing from the attentions of border patrols at high speed. The man’s car reportedly collided with another vehicle and turned over, leading to injuries from which staff at a nearby hospital were unable to revive him. – Okaz/SG
