NATION Drug peddler executed
ABHA – Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Musfir Al-Salouli Al-Bishi, a Saudi, was beheaded Wednesday in Bisha Governorate in Assir region, after being convicted of peddling drugs, said a statement released by the Interior Ministry.
The statement said the culprit was convicted by the court and the verdict was approved by the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council.
The statement confirmed the determination of the government on ensuring law and order and to severely punishing criminals. Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking carry death penalty in the Kingdom, where executions are usually carried out in public. – SPA
