MAKKAH – An increasingly unbearable stench led to the disturbing discovery of a decomposed body in an apartment building in Hindawiya early Saturday morning.
His badly decomposed body suggested that the retired man died two months ago, the Makkah Police Department said.
A neighbor who tracked down the source of the terrible smell made the grisly discovery, reporting it to the police.
The man was said to have been missing for a long time before he was found.
Makkah police spokesman Maj. Abdulmohsin Al-Mayman said there was no evidence of homicide involved in the man’s death. “The kidney failure was believed to have caused his death as the early forensic evidence and his medical record showed,” he said. – Okaz
