Personnel in shops selling mobile phones were seen yesterday desperately attempting to dispose of a large quantity of unregistered pre-paid SIM cards following a decision made by the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
Four people were killed and several others injured, some of them seriously, in a terrible pile-up on the Jeddah-Makkah Expressway late Thursday.
Nothing can bring an end to this phenomenon other than stringent security measures. It is high time to enact laws aimed at putting an end to reckless stunt driving, similar to the laws created to combat the use and distribution of drugs and alcohol.
As the Ministry of Social Affairs attempts to put an end to the increasing reports of problems in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center.
