It is obvious that the Arab millionaire beggar who was caught in Yanbu had entered the Kingdom as an investor. He later found out that begging was the best kind of investment that could ensure him with a good income.

His resounding success was manifested by the large amount of money found with him.

The police found in his possession a total of SR422,786. Investigations conducted with him also revealed that the man had deposited more than SR800,000 in his name in one of the banks.

This means that we are dealing with a millionaire beggar who would not have achieved all this success unless with hard work and dedication.

His sincerity in his work made him a role model for the beggars in the world. He would also be a role model for investors if they had made their investments in our country.

Now let us be more serious. If anyone believes that the money found with the beggar resulted from begging, they will be not only foolish but naive.

I think that many people want to believe that this large amount of money is the outcome of begging just to get peace of mind and get rid of the headache that may result from thinking.

People want to believe that this fake Arab investor has made his wealth from begging and close this file once and for all. They do not want to trouble themselves by thinking of the other devious ways the man must have resorted to accumulate this wealth.

If we come to believe that the man is only a beggar, we will have to ignore the valuable properties found with him. They included, among others, six mobile phones and a brand new GMC car with a Gulf country’s plates.

We may find excuses for him. He will need the mobile phones to talk to the philanthropists and the car to take him to them.

The apprehension of the Yanbu millionaire beggar triggers many questions. Why was he allowed to beg until he was able to make this huge amount of money?

Why was he allowed to enter into our country as an investor? Why was he allowed to deposit this wealth in the bank without being questioned about its source?

Nobody dared to ask him about the fate of the investments for which he had entered the Kingdom to make or the source of the money he had deposited in the bank.
