TABUK — The authorities in the Kingdom have issued directives, putting a halt to some of the activities at home in order to prevent transmission of coronavirus, especially those that involve the use of common tools, as well as the ones that result in waiting, gathering and direct contacts.

As a result of the directive, those who have been banned from entering homes for their jobs include barbers, women’s beauticians, gas salesmen, sales representatives and private tutors. There are exemptions for some trades such as plumbers and electricians.

Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette on the development, Sultan Turki, a citizen, said that he was keen to wear mask and glove while engaging any workers at home, as well as to provide the worker with mask and glove if he did not have them. He also alerted workers to sterilize their tools, confine their work areas to the smallest space inside the house. He also prevented them from moving around the house, sterilized the place after they left and ensured to keep children away from workers after isolating them in a room.

Rashid Abdullah, another Saudi, said that he agreed with his son’s private tutor to limit himself to contact by phone and set an hour daily to continue his son’s tuition remotely.
