Saudi corona cases increase sharply; 115 have recovered

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia on Monday reported a sharp increase in the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 1,453.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Mohammed Al-Abdel Ali disclosed that 154 cases were detected on Monday (the figure was 96 on Sunday). However, he said, the total number of recovery cases have increased to 115 with the latest recovery of 49 infected people, Saudi Press Agency (SPA)said.

He added that 22 of the confirmed cases are in the intensive care unit in critical condition but all others are in stable conditions.

The spokesman urged anyone who may be a suspected case or those who are showing symptoms to seek medical attention and use the resources and services available in the Kingdom

The health ministry did not record any new deaths over the past 24 hours, keeping the death toll at eight.
