Saudi Gazette report

JEDDAH —
EgyptAir has arranged special flights to transport pilgrims and visitors from Saudi Arabia amid the travel ban due to the novel coronavirus threat.

In a statement, EgyptAir said it has arranged flights through its offices in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah from Tuesday. There are two Jeddah-Cairo daily flights, and a daily trip from Madinah to Cairo, along with a number of flights from Riyadh, Dammam, Qassim and Abha to Cairo.

EgyptAir has asked its customers to visit its various offices to review and amend their reservations. The Jeddah office will provide services to all customers around the clock with a high level of professionalism and speed.

The decision was taken in light of the precautionary measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve the safety of citizens and expatriates from the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Saudi Civil Aviation approved the conduct of these trips so that pilgrims and visitors are not stranded due to the temporary suspension of flights between the Kingdom and some countries to stop the spread of the virus.

EgyptAir has started receiving requests from its customers and is making necessary travel procedures for the return of pilgrims and visitors from the Kingdom to the Egypt, as well as the return of Saudi passengers from Cairo to their homeland.
