Peter Pan musical delights families during Riyadh Season

RIYADH —
The musical ‘Peter Pan’ continues its successful run at the Red Hall Theater in Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University during Riyadh Season, with performances taking place until Nov. 23.

Designed for all ages, the elaborate musical production features 16 theatrical backdrops, dramatic soundtracks and special effects. Based on the play written in 1904, it tells the story of Peter Pan, a free-spirited young boy who can fly and never grows up. Using the latest theatrical techniques, the audience can interact with Peter Pan and be a part of his incredible adventures on the mythical island of Neverland along with his friends, the Lost Boys.

Peter Pan is a masterpiece by the Scottish playwright Sir James Matthew Barrie. He had a close friendship with the Llewelyn Davies family, which led to Barrie becoming the guardian of the Davies’ children following the death of their parents. He named several of the characters after the sons, creating a classic play that has stood the test of time and delighted generations around the world.

Riyadh Season aims to showcase the finest in entertainment from around the world by bringing timeless works to the stage, including Cirque du Soleil and The Wizard of Oz.
