Dauha Al Uloom, Alif schools celebrate Saudi National Day

JEDDAH/RIYADH —
Students, teachers and management of Dauha Al Uloom International School, Jeddah and Alif International School in Riyadh celebrated the 89th Saudi National Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. At Dauha Al Uloom, the entire school premises was draped in green and white color as the premises enthusiastically reflected the true spirit of nationalism. Students and staff members were also dressed in green and white, the colors of the day.

A variety of cultural programs was staged by the students under the supervision of the teachers in the boys section. Mohammed Areeb of Grade X-B spoke on culture and diversity of Saudi Arabia in English while Abdu Rahman of Grade VIII-B delivered a speech recalling the Kingdom’s rich history and tradition in Arabic.

The programs at the girls’ section were presided over by the girls’ section in-charge Wafa Saleem. A variety of cultural programs were presented by the little budding stars of the school. School Captain Sahar of Grade X spoke on the history and developments of Saudi Arabia. Quiz competitions were also conducted for lower and higher grade students related to the history, geography and new developments of Saudi Arabia. A wide variety of programs not only made the kids enthusiastic but also helped in boosting their general knowledge about Saudi Arabia.

Alif School Riyadh celebrated the National Day with all its colors and patriotic fervor to commemorate the rich legacy of this great nation and its towering leaders from King Abdulaziz to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. A variety of enchanting cultural programs and activities of the students included patriotic events, folk arts and dances. The programs showcased the Kingdom’s unique history, tradition, heritage and culture.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the rarest countries in the world that cares for peace and prosperity of the citizens of other nations along with its own citizens,” Principal Mohammed Musthafa said in his keynote address. The program was attended by students and teachers of the school, wearing Saudi costumes and Saudi flags to mark the occasion.

The program, which was commenced with recitation of a few verses of the Holy Qur’an, was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Muqbil Al-Qahthani of Saudi Telecom. Alikunhi Moulavi, chairman of the school, presided over the function in which Luqman Pazhur, executive director of the school, and Mohammed Qahtani, manager of the school, delivered felicitation speeches. Vice Principal Daisamma Jacob welcomed the gathering and headmaster Naushad proposed a vote of thanks.
