RIYADH —
Pakistani Ambassador Raja Ali Ejaz has extended his warm greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, and the people of Saudi Arabia on the country’s 89th National Day.

In a message, he said: “It is indeed an honor to represent Pakistan in the brotherly country of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I am overwhelmed with joy to celebrate the 89th National Day of the Kingdom with my Saudi brethren.

“On this auspicious occasion, I would like to present my heartfelt congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia.”

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, he said, are strategic allies and have always maintained close cooperation. “Our relations are based on shared cultural values and common world view. The people of Pakistan hold the leadership of Saudi Arabia in high esteem. The depth of this relationship is expressed by profound feelings of affection between the two people despite being separated by hundreds of kilometers.

The presence of more than two million Pakistanis in the Kingdom further cements this bond of friendship between the two countries. These Pakistanis have made valuable contribution toward the economic development of both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. We are highly appreciative of the Kingdom for its hospitality toward the Pakistani expatriates,” the message said.

“The visionary leadership of Saudi Arabia has put the country on trajectory of development, and the Kingdom is now moving fast on the track to progress and prosperity,” it said.

Lauding the Kingdom’s efforts in maintaining peace in the world, the envoy said Saudi Arabia has always been an advocate of stability, peace and harmony in the region and the world. It has always attached great importance to international obligations and to the United Nations principles that call for peaceful coexistence of all nations.

“Saudi Arabia and its people have a special place in the heart of every Pakistani. I, as Ambassador of Pakistan vow to make consistent efforts for further expanding bilateral cooperation in all fields for the benefit of our two peoples,” the message said.
