RIYADH – The Ministry of Culture is all set to organize the “Future of Fashion” event that aims to support the fashion sector in the Kingdom, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.

The event is scheduled to take place in Riyadh during the period Nov. 4 – 6, within the activities of Riyadh Season.

The event’s schedule comprises many seminars, workshops and dialogue sessions that will focus on the challenges, trends and current developments in the international fashion sector.

The fashion sector in the Kingdom is receiving a great and wide response and a strong presence. This provides many opportunities for developing fashion and talents. However, the sector needs an infrastructure as well as a cultural and organizational platform that supports it.

The activities in the “Future of Fashion” event will deal with this aspect, as there will be platforms for discussion of the elements required for building an integrated platform for the fashion sector in the Kingdom and overcoming the challenges facing Saudi talents in this field.

The event comes within the sphere of culture and development the Kingdom is witnessing.

The Ministry of Culture had announced earlier this year its vision and policies that included specifying 16 cultural fields it will focus on via its programs, activities and events. These include the fashion sector, as well.
