RIYADH - The Arab Coalition said its forces have intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi militia from the Yemeni province of Saada toward the southern Saudi city of Jazan.

Arab Coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki said the Houthis were attempting to target civilian infrastructure and civilians in Jazan. “The continued attempts by the Houthi terrorist militia to target civilians and civilian infrastructure – which goes against international humanitarian law – using drones as well as ballistic missiles reflects the losses of its fighters in light of the continuing military operations deep inside the Saada governorate with the support of the coalition,” Al-Maliki said in a statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency. “This proves the criminalization of these terrorist militias by its escalation of hostilities and terrorist war crimes against the accordance with international humanitarian law,” the spokesperson said.
