JEDDAH —
King Abdulaziz University (KAU) press has recently published a book titled ‘English for Accounting’. The author (Dr. Intakhab Alam Khan), an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia, is currently working as associate professor at KAU.

The book is an outcome of a research-book project funded by the university. Such books have been funded by the institution for a long time to enhance research and writing potential of the academic staff, and to facilitate learners with locally and appropriately designed learning materials which not only help the KAU students, but similar other university students within and outside the Kingdom.

The book is written in simple English especially designed keeping the need of English for specific purposes. It is expected that both the students and teachers will find the book burden-free productive and beneficial.

Dr. Khan’s two other books are in the press under the titles ‘English for Saudi University Students’ and ‘English for Pharmacists in Saudi Arabia’. These books were also funded by the King Abdulaziz university.

Dr. Khan has earlier served Jamia Millia Islamia as lecturer/assistant professor. Dr. Khan is also a core committee member and former president of Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association (Western Region & Jeddah chapter). Dr. Khan has 16 books and around 60 research papers/articles to his credit.
