RIYADH — Entering the homestretch the hottest team of the league, 20-Vision-20, is not about ready to relax.

On the 15th week, the all-Saudi squad annexed its third set of back-to-back Best Team of the Week victories in the Almarai-FBGR Tuesday Night Family Bowling League 17th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here.

20-Vision-20 actually ended the session tied on 20 points with the bye team in action, Unica, but prevailed via the total pinfalls tiebreak 3,883-3,614, in beating Lion’s Den (8 points, 3,614 pinfalls) as it won its seventh team award overall.

In a strong match, sponsor team Almarai Co. brought down IBG Eagles 19-13 on total pinfalls of 4,002-3,779.

Nomercies defeated Alsalam Strikers 15-13 (3,738-3,724) while Talk & Strikes had 17 points and total pinfalls of 3,688 as the second bye team in action of the 15th session.

Unica, the two-time defending champion, managed to grab half of the week’s honors, courtesy of Joelito Santillan who rolled the high series of 885 to clinch the Best Bowler of the Week honors.

In a departure from usual, 20-Vision-20 used a five-man rotation and the best two scorers were Ahmad Abulreesh on 876 and Mohammed Khalid on 816.

Ahmed Yasser Abulreesh added 742, Sami Al-Repai had 730 and Mohammed Abulreesh made 719.

Besides Santillan Unica drew 775 from Stephen Solomon, 737 from Reynald Medina, 707 from Edwin Atienza and 698 from Armin Isles.

Almarai got a big lift from the duo of Jun Daniel and HRH MS who rolled 839 and 811 respectively, while Rodel Maranca came through with 772 and Fhel Ramos had 754.

Jonathan Avenido was at the helm of Nomercies’ confidence-boosting victory as he shot 807 to go with the 770 by Abdullah Amoudi, 747 by Nomer Cenil and 667 by Vic Barrazona.

Leading Talk and Strikes were Ekart Gayeta on 792 and Nelson Respicio on 782.
