RIYADH —
A large number of Twitter users have retweeted a video clip showing 12-year-old Nasser Al-Seabee scoring a goal during his physical education class, Al-Jazirah newspaper reported.

Al-Seabee lost his father last week while fighting on the Kingdom’s southern border.

Essam Al-Shoaibi, the PE teacher who posted the video on Twitter, said Al-Seabee’s father died last week while serving his country.

“I love taking videos of students while they play and I show the clips to their parents. Nasser did not show up for the class for an entire week because his father died in action. He is a talented boy. His classmates and I pressed him to play and he did. He even scored a beautiful goal. I posted the video of him scoring the goal on social media and was surprised by the overwhelming response from the public,” Al-Shoaibi said.

Al-Hilal Club called Al-Seabee, a Hilal fan, and invited him to visit the headquarters of the club and meet with his favorite player Bafétimbi Gomis, who himself retweeted the video. “I relate to the pain of Nasser because I myself lost my father two years ago. I’m excited to meet Nasser,” the French player commented in his tweet.
