KAU ropes in job site to support graduates

JEDDAH — King Abdulaziz University has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Bayt.com, the largest job site in Saudi Arabia, to recruit graduates and qualify students to meet the needs of the job market and to develop training programs for new graduates.

The MOU was signed by Professor Abdulaahman Al-Youbi, rector of King Abdulaziz University, and the founder and CEO of Bayt.com.

Dr. Hani Choudhry, director of the Center for Alignment of Educational Outcomes with the Labor Market, said: “This partnership with Bayt.com is part of the strategic plan the center has developed to bridge the gap between education outcomes and employer needs meets the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. We aim, by this successful partnership with Bayt.com, to do a number of events and activities that contribute to increasing student readiness for the job market and raising employment rates of graduates.”

“We are very pleased to collaborate with King Abdulaziz University to develop the skills of the Kingdom’s students and prepare them for the job market,” said Mohammed Barashid, business director at Bayt.com. “This partnership will enable us to help more students and businesses in Saudi Arabia by implementing training programs designed to meet the needs of the job market in the Kingdom.” — SG
