RIYADH — The atmosphere became hot again at Nesto Hypermarket in Batha when the city dart aficionados returned to action during the third week showdown of the 55th Inter-Commercial Dart Tournament organized by the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA) here.

Dart Tropa Vipers was the first team to collect four victories and emerge as the lone team with a perfect record of 4-0 with 57 points. Elmer Parago’s team secured the first spot after the third week battle.

Tournament Director Jun Jison also showed firepower igniting the first game with a double figure record, 18 darts finish plus a highest out of 110 that erased all records during the day. Yanzy Blanche of the same team repeated 18 darts with a combination of Ton80 which brought Bulleros to its knees, 13-6 in the last match.

Brand One of Juan Tapel, now captained by Jun Andres also collected its third win after four encounters with 44 points. The Tusukeros denied Cobras in the first week but missed a highly contested match against Bulleros (9-10) in the second week. The team took revenge against NBD (11-8) and the Boss (14-5) in its last two battles and grabbed the second spot (3-1) in the overall team standing.

Bulleros anchored by Chris Ibuos also maintains a 3-1 win-loss record with 41 points after four matches and in the third slot. The team came very strong during its first three encounters denying all its opponents: Brand One (10-9), Angels (11-8) and Cobras (14-5) but lost its momentum in the last encounter with Vipers (6-13).

Ex champs NBD Travelers of Noel Borromeo found themselves in fourth position with a 2-2 win-loss record and 46 points. The team suffered two sorry losses at the hands of Vipers (9-10) and Brand One (8-11) during the first two weeks of showdown but later grabbed two convincing wins against Angels (14-5) and Boss (15-4) in the third week.

The Boss of Jay Patalinghug secured fifth position (1-2) with 31 points, while Angels captained by Romy Gorembalem is in sixth place (1-4) with 31 points and at seventh place is Joel De Jesus’ Cobras (1-4) with 22 points.

Pancho Caculitan and Yanzy Blanche joined Manuel Acosta for Ton80 club, while Elmer Parago and Allan David became bulls eye kings during the week. Bong Bardon recorded a superb 17 darts finish, while web master Ariel John Agbunag also finished a 118 highest outshot.
