January 15, 2019

SAKAKA — In continuation of awareness activities debuted last week in Madinah, the Ministry of Health has launched the "#All4Nurses_KSA" campaign in Al-Jouf.

The campaign seeks to appreciate the nursing profession and to shed light on the pivotal role played by nurses in the health system by focusing on the professional aspects that may be invisible to community.

The aim of the campaign is to highlight the importance of the nursing profession vis-à-vis all healthcare specialties, and to show their support to every specialty from neonatal to ICU, up to palliative care.

The ministry seeks to highlight the professional image of nurses through awareness campaigns targeting all segments of society, whether the professional community, school and university students or the general public.

The campaigns also seek to raise awareness about the challenges of the profession in order to enable the healthcare staff and the community to express appreciation for nurses and the profession in general.

Nursing staff constitute 50 percent of the healthcare personnel in the country, and the ministry will highlight their role by citing honorable examples via seminars, forums, TV programs and newspapers. — SG
