LONDON — Former Love Island star Amber Davies has opened up about her upcoming West End debut in 9 to 5 the Musical, explaining that she thinks she has "a lot to prove" to audiences.
Amber joined Graham Norton on his Radio 2 show Saturday morning (Jan. 12) alongside her cast mate, EastEnders star Bonnie Langford, to talk about the show, and discussed her previous performing experience.
"I moved to London at 16 and I trained for three years down in central London," she began. "And then I was the lead singer on a cruise [...] And then I got offered Hairspraythe UK tour and Love Island, and I thought I'd just take a gamble, and it's paid off.
"But I have a lot to prove, I think."
Luckily, she has the support of Bonnie. "I'm hoping to surprise people," Amber added.
The former reality star also opened up about her decision to do Love Island in the first place, explaining that she thinks she's "fallen lucky" after the show.
"I honestly thought I'd never work in musical theater again," she said. "Love Island has changed my life in so many ways, and I'm so grateful." — Yahoo News
