RIYADH — Muzaffar Majeed and Irshad Mubashir hit double tons in the 5th round of the Amex tournament which is sponsored by American Express Saudi Arabia and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
Al-Kharaj League
Lahore Badshah lost to Fuchs Lions by 5 wickets. Lahore Badshah scored 345-8 through Yasir (60), Najeeb (53), Hisham (51), Awais (50), Musayba (44) and Mudasir (42). Muzaffar grabbed 4 wickets, while Qamar and Rizwan shared 2 each. Fuchs Lions got to the target in 33.5 overs. Muzaffar put up a one-man show in batting as he smashed an unbeaten 221 off just 118 balls. Waseem and Rizwan supported with 60 and 35, respectively.
Sama Steel defeated Sinmar by 6 wickets. Riyas (64), Waqar (57), Hazim (52) and Sardar (42) helped Sinmar post 309-9. Amjad picked up 4 wickets and Zaka got 2. In reply, Sama Steel chased the target in 33.2 overs. Brilliant centuries from Raja and Amjad sealed the victory. Both remained unbeaten on 118 and 112, respectively. Hakeem took 2 wickets.
L’usine thumped Pak Falcons by 6 wickets. Pak Falcons were all out for 275. Inaam (55), Waseem (50) and Tauqeer (57) scored fifties. Talal grabbed 3 wickets, while Yasif and Sherry took 2 each. L’usine got to the target in 35 overs. Tuaseef led the chase with an unbeaten 118 and was supported by Talal (40) and Yasif (38).
Pak Shaheen beat Riyadh Aces by 16 runs. Pak Shaheen scored 389-7. Abdul Wahab hammered 164 off 83 balls and Usman stroked 105 off 84 balls. Faisal scored 47. Shahzaib picked up 3 wickets. In reply, Riyadh Aces were restricted to 373 in 40 overs. Irshad double ton wasn’t enough. He remained not out on 202. Hashem scored 50. Ali Sher took 2 wickets.
Diriyah League
In Diriyah League Royce White Star Blue defeated Gujarat Lions by 33 runs. Royce piled up 175. Rashid scored 45 and Faizan 39. Usman took 3 wickets and Muheeb 2. Gujarat Lions managed 142 in reply. Sitesh top scored with 42 and Fareed made 26. Adeel picked up 3 wickets, while Naseem and Rana got 2 each.
Shinkiari Zalmi lost to Knight Hawks by 77 runs. Hawks accumulated 205. Abhijit (47), Asad (40) and Adil (32) batted well. Iktiyar took 2 wickets. Shinkiari was restricted to 128. Enaam and Shoaib resisted with 32 and 31, respectively. Rashid got 3 wickets, while Abhijit and Arman claimed 2 each.
Baloch Fighters thumped Phoenix by 8 wickets. Phoenix collected 162. Rameez scored an unbeaten 71 and Subayyal 27. Farhad took 2 wickets. Baloch Fighters scored the required 163 in 13.1 overs. Abu Baker hammered 117 off just 50 balls and Farhad mustered 27. — SG
