Saudi Customs seeks efficiency on delivery of goods to clients

SAUDI Customs is participating as a Strategic Partner in the 2nd edition of the three-day E-commerce World Expo, taking place at the Faisaliah hotel in Riyadh. The gathering concluded Dec. 12, 2018.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, seeks mo3Saudi Customs’ participation shed light on their significant role in facilitating and supporting the growth and development of e-commerce in the Kingdom through the implementation of several programs and procedures to secure the delivery of goods to clients, without compromising the safety standards and measures.

In this regard, the Customs land, air and sea ports work for 24 hour shifts to ensure faster clearance processes, using the latest technologies and inspection techniques in line with the Saudi Customs’ strategy to achieve trade facilitation and costumer centricity and contribute to the Society’s Security and Protection.

During its participation, Saudi Customs also presented a workshop on “Government to Business (G2B) E-commerce”, during which the Customs highlighted its latest trade facilitation achievements and initiatives.

The exhibition attracted local and regional business leaders and industry experts from different part of the world, in addition to renowned e-commerce companies who showcased their services and presented solutions and advisory services for both public and private sectors, as well as small and medium enterprises. It also brought together government agencies, key players in the logistics sector, electronic application designers, telecommunications and technology companies, e-shops, e-commerce and digital marketing specialists, telecom sector initiatives, and many other organization. — SG
