JEDDAH — Laroza ACC FC recorded a solitary goal victory against Blasters FC in the Super League match of the 4th Nadec-Blue Star Soccerfest 2018 at the Hilal Shyam Stadium on Khaled Bin Waleed Street here.

The all-important goal in this interesting match came at the fag end of the game by brilliant Emad, who also won the Man of the Match award.

This tournament is mainly sponsored by Nadec.

Last year’s Under-17 champion Sporting United prevailed over Talent Teens in their last league engagement to book a berth in the final. Skillful Imran Abdullah scored the only goal for Sporting.

Talent Teens’ goalkeeper Mohammed Faris was adjudged the Player of the Match.

In the other Under-19 encounter, Soccer Freakz and Jeddah Soccer Club (JSC) shared two goals and points. However, Soccer Freakz, which has better points advantage than JSC, will challenge champion Sporting United in the Dec. 21 final.

Naeem Siddique, who scored for Soccer Freakz, was selected as the Player of the Match. JSC’s goal came through Hazem Ahmed.

The Second Division match between Shams Containers Blue Star and Young Challenges ended in a 1-1 draw. Bava scored for Blue Star, while Shahid netted for Young Challengers. In the Second Division semifinals on Friday, Blue Star will take on United Sports Club and Qarban ACC will meet Snehasparsham Jeddah FC. — SG
